Education Commission
Faith Formation
Faith formation is an ongoing process that promotes one’s spiritual growth and the development of Christian discipleship in the Roman Catholic tradition. St. Brigid Parish has many groups and activities to educate, encourage and support you on your faith journey. The Education Commission oversees these 4 Ministries of St. Brigid Parish: Athletic Association, Adult Faith Formation, St. Brigid School, PSR, and Youth Ministry.
Adult Faith Formation
The Adult Faith Formation Committee fosters and enriches Christian discipleship through various print and electronic media available in the Church lobbies (Care and Prayer Notes, faith-based compact audio discs, and a lending library), as well as special inserts in the Sunday bulletin, and in sponsoring periodic "God, Wine and Cheese" sessions that feature distinguished speakers on a variety of religious topics. All of these activities listed below are coordinated by the Adult Faith Formation Committee that functions as a subcommittee within the Education Commission.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC)
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC) enables baptized or unbaptized grade school age children to enter into a relationship with the living God. Our goal is to provide a means of conversion appropriate to the child’s age and understanding. Like RCIA, we strive to instruct the child in his/her faith as a Catholic Christian. Much of the catechesis for children greatly depends on forming and nurturing relationships with other believing children. The RCIC team includes not only the RCIC teachers, but most importantly, the RCIC parents.
