
St. Brigid Parish is a vibrant and growing community of over two thousand individuals. Steeped in a history reaching back 150 years, our faith in God and Jesus Christ His Son has been unwavering. Statistics
| • | Parish Campus – consists of the Parish church and office, the school, Parish Activity Center and rectory. |
| • | Church – St. Brigid Church, established in 1849, is the oldest of six Roman Catholic communities in Greene County, and is the only Catholic parish in Xenia |
| • | Parish Body – The first small group of pioneer Xenia Catholics numbered just five families. St. Brigid Parish currently has over 1,000 registered families with an estimated number of over 2,500 parishioners |
| • | Service Area – Serving primarily the central and south-central sections of Greene County, St. Brigid Parish is within the Springfield deanery of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. |
| • | Baptisms – 36 in 2007 and 47 in 2006, including adults who entered the Church via the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) |
| • | Marriages – 8 in 2007 and 5 in 2006, including convalidations of prior non-sacramental marriages |
| • | Deaths – 16 in 2007 and 18 in 2006 |
| • | RCIA – 10 adults enrolled in the RCIA program in 2007, 3 in 2006 |
| • | Parish School of Religion – Approximately 115 students attended the weekly Parish School of Religion in grades K-8 during the 2006-2007 school year. |
Registration
We extend a warm welcome to any individuals or families interested in membership in St. Brigid Parish. Members are encouraged to worship regularly with our community, and to give of their gifts to the Parish.
Members who move or anticipate moving from St. Brigid Parish are asked to notify the Parish office. We also ask that you communicate any change in name and/or address so we can maintain a current database.
Becoming a Parishioner
All are welcome to become a part of the St. Brigid Parish community. Whether transferring from another parish, reviving your childhood Catholic roots, converting or are simply interested in becoming a Catholic – our doors are open to you.If you are not Catholic and would like more information on becoming one, see the RCIA section on the Faith Formation page or contact the Parish office.
How to Register
After completing the registration form, a member or our Welcome Committee will contact you to answer any questions and introduce you to our Parish family. You will also begin receiving Parish mailings and notices.
You will need to complete a registration form to become a member of St. Brigid Parish. The form can be downloaded through the link below. You can also contact the Parish office to have one mailed to you or stop by the office to pick one up.
