Letter to St. Brigid Families:
Dear Catholic Families,
It is a blessing and an honor to introduce myself to you and inform you that I will be working with St. Brigid’s staff and students this school year. I am a clinical counselor with the University of Dayton’s Urban Child Development Resource Center. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I will be providing services to students and will be available for consultation to staff and parents regarding behavior problems and other issues that may prevent a student from learning.
In addition, I will be presenting a violence prevention program entitled SECOND STEP. It is designed to reduce impulsive and aggressive behaviors, teach social and emotional skills, and build self esteem. I will also be teaching a safety education program called TALKING ABOUT TOUCHING which deals with all types of personal safety.
I am also available to provide counseling services to children and families in our school. This is done only with parental permission. The counseling is provided free of charge, and the sessions are confidential.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. You can reach me at 937-372-3222, ext. 28. I look forward to working with all our students.
